A Fuel System Fitted to Every Bar Crusher
Whether it's the smallest model in the range or the largest, every Bar Crusher runs the same SafeTank advanced fuel system, a design built around safety and easy maintenance rather than just capacity. Two separate fill points make the system as convenient as it is safe.
Fill Point One: The Transom Filler
The rear fuel filler, positioned at the transom, is the convenient option for filling up at the service station. It's built with a fill-stop valve that automatically stops fuel from blowing back out once the tank is full and, importantly, leaves a small air gap between the fuel and the top of the tank. That gap matters in hot weather, when fuel expands, making it a genuine safety feature rather than just a fill-level convenience. (It's normal to hear an occasional knocking sound from this valve doing its job.)
Fill Point Two: The Forward Inspection and Filling Port
The second fill point, at the front, does more than let you top up fuel. It gives a direct visual inspection of how much fuel is in the tank, and if water ever ends up in the fuel direct access to siphon it out, rather than needing to pull the tank apart to deal with the problem.
Why This Matters
On many boats, the fuel tank sits deep in the bilge under a cover plate, out of sight. If a fuel hose or clamp fails over time, leaking fuel can pool in the sub-floor unnoticed a real hazard. SafeTank's accessible, in-floor design and above-floor hoses and clamps are built specifically to avoid that scenario, keeping the fuel system easy to inspect and service throughout the life of the boat.
